Edith earned a B.S.M.E. degree at Purdue University. Widowed since 1987, she is the mother of seven children. Edith was a volunteer Girl Scout leader and an American Red Cross Instructor for twenty-five years. She served as the secretary for the Sierra Club, Miami Group for fifteen years. She has been a Board Member for the Over-the-Rhine Kitchen and she has also served on the Board of the Tom Geiger Guest House since their inception.
